UMP celebrates SPM leavers
KUANTAN, 8 June 2023 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) shared the thrill with students at 13 selected schools around Pahang to celebrate the success of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students who received excellent results.
According to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, UMP academic consultation team coordinated by the Centre for Marketing and Academic Intake, was in 13 schools around Pahang in the UMP@ School programme in conjunction with the announcement of the 2022 SPM results.
He said this programme was coordinated as a platform for UMP visibility in schools, information and consultation sessions for students and families to learn more about the programmes offered at UMP and opportunities to further higher education at UMP through programmes offered, including TVET-based programmes.
“In addition, this initiative can bring schools closer to universities to enable them to get programme information, share campus life and so on,” he said.
Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman was present at Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SEMSAS) Kuantan in conjunction with the SEMSAS Graduation Ceremony and Excellence Award held at the Al-Khawarizmi Hall, SEMSAS.
He also presented a Certificate of Excellence to 36 SEMSAS students with excellent SPM results.
The event was officiated by ExSAS President Yang Hormat Dato’ Azhar Anuar who is also the CEO of MSE Resources Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd.
The Principal of SEMSAS, Haji Mahadzir Hanapiah, was also present.
