UMPSA Autonomous Ecosystem now on international stage
DUBAI, 19 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) made history with the launch of the Autonomous System Ecosystem held at the UMPSA-PACDB Pavilion in conjunction with the Dubai Airshow 2025.
This launch opens wider opportunities for international collaboration in smart mobility and autonomous systems.
UMPSA has a comprehensive and complete autonomous vehicles (AV) testing facility and possesses the expertise of researchers comprising highly capable scientists and engineers.
In addition, UMPSA has a network of local and international industry partners.
In fact, in the development of this ecosystem, the UMPSA AV research team has utilised high-end technology and the latest methodologies in their research, training, and consultancy activities.
His Excellency the Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE, Yang Mulia Tengku Dato’ Sirajuddin Tengku Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin officiated the launch ceremony.
Also present were the Chairman of the University Board of Directors, Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dr Yatimah Alias, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of UMPSA, Professor Ts. Dr Aida Mustapha.
