UMPSA received a visit from Fort De Kock University, Indonesia
GAMBANG, 23 July 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently welcomed a delegation from Fort De Kock University, Indonesia, to its Gambang Campus.
The delegates, who arrived at 10.00 am, were warmly received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman.
Also present were the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology (FIST), Associate Professor Dr. Aizi Nor Mazila Ramli, and the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), Dr. Hanafiah Ahmad.
The 33-member delegation was led by the Founder of the Fort De Kock Foundation, Dr. Zainal Abidin, and the Rector of Fort De Kock University, Dr. Evi Hasnita.
In his welcome speech, Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for the visit.
“This visit is very meaningful for UMPSA and hopefully it can strengthen the cooperation between our institutions and pave the way for future collaborative initiatives.
“UMPSA is always open to partnerships with other universities, particularly in enhancing the quality of education and expanding international networks," he said.
During their visit, the delegation attended a General Lecture on 'Occupational Safety and Health' delivered by Dr. Norhidayah Abdull, Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Cluster at FIST.
Following the lecture, the delegates were given a tour of the laboratory facilities.
Fort De Kock University, located in Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia, is a renowned higher education institution.
