UMPSA receives 2 electric vehicles (EV) contributed by Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd.

PEKAN, 4 October 2025 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received two Changan EADO 460 electric vehicles from Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd., which will be used for research and teaching purposes in the field of EV technology.

The ceremony witnessed the Chairman of the UMPSA Board of Directors, Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan UMPSA, receiving a replica car key from the Managing Director of Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd., Razmi Shah Othman.

Also present were the UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias; Chief Executive Officer of Public Islamic Bank Berhad (PIBB), Tuan Syamsul Azuan Ahmad Fauzi; Members of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan UMPSA, Datuk Sri Darwis Abdul Razak, Dato’ Ir. Ts. Izwan Hasli Mohd Ibrahim, and Datin Nur Sharmila Shaheen; as well as Registrar, Dato’ Saiful Bahri Ahmad Bakarim.

Also in attendance were the Director of the Centre for Advanced TVET, Associate Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Shahrir Mohd Sani; Assistant Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nizam Mohmad Kahar; and Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan UMPSA, Mohd Jamil Mohd Ja’afar.

According to Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak, these vehicles are capable of providing a significant positive impact towards new knowledge in electric vehicle technology and symbolise Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd.’s strong commitment to supporting the Higher Education Agenda and student development.

“UMPSA highly appreciates the concern and support given by Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd., which serves as an exemplary model for various parties in successfully developing knowledgeable, responsible, and competitive human capital,” he said.

Meanwhile, Razmi said that his company hopes this contribution will help prepare students to further explore the EV field in the future.

“In addition, this contribution takes into account UMPSA’s expertise in the field of automotive and advanced TVET.

“This collaboration and support from industry partners will certainly strengthen UMPSA’s research and innovation ecosystem as an Advanced TVET hub in the ASEAN region in the future,” he said.
