Interested in Engineering Programme, students choose UMP
PEKAN, 1 August 2021 - Due to his deep interest in Mechanical Engineering, Aqil Danish Ady Azrul, 18, asked a lot of questions to get feedback about the programme and find information about the universities that offer the programme.
From that point, he dreamed that he could become a student of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) one day.
He did not expect his dream to continue his study at UMP to come true.
He was very grateful to be offered the programme he was very interested in, namely Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
“All my hard work paid off, in addition to prayers and blessings of my parents for this success,” he said after joining the online Hari Suai Kenal (HSK 21) in conjunction with the online registration of new students recently.
According to this Pahang native, he was so excited to come to UMP in the future and determined to use this opportunity to succeed.
Adding the second child of two, he would like to thank his parents for their support and also to all the teachers who taught him in Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Muadzam Shah.
He also shared his experience while participating in the online HSK 21 Programme through the UMPMalaysia and UMPTV Facebook platforms.
He made sure to always be ready before the programmes as scheduled.
He is one of 600 new diploma students for the 2021/2022 academic session.
During the two days, the students were briefed on the ADAB app which can help students in various matters, academic briefings, e-Learning (KALAM), Health Centre, finance and others.
The UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ir. Dr. Wan Azhar Wan Yusoff, who was present to launch the ADAB app, also congratulated all students who chose UMP as their study destination.
“Although the students cannot come to the campus, it is hoped that you are always vigilant and adhere to the standard operating procedures (POS),” he said.
UMP offers six diploma programmes comprising Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Science, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Occupational Safety and Health.
