Blockchain technology potential in halal industry

KUANTAN, 28 July 2021 - The Centre of Industry and Community Network (ICoN), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), together with the German Alumni Association of Malaysia (GAAM), Blockworq Sdn. Bhd. and Maishince Academy organised a Professional Talk Series Webinar Forum Series 2 titled ‘Facts, Myths and Potential of Blockchain Technology in the Halal Industry’ to unravel the misunderstandings surrounding the issue of the use of blockchain technology in the halal industry.

Interested in Engineering Programme, students choose UMP

PEKAN, 1 August 2021 - Due to his deep interest in Mechanical Engineering, Aqil Danish Ady Azrul, 18, asked a lot of questions to get feedback about the programme and find information about the universities that offer the programme.

From that point, he dreamed that he could become a student of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) one day.

He did not expect his dream to continue his study at UMP to come true. 

UMP launches ADAB app for students

PEKAN, 31 July 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) launched the ADAB UMP app, a simple application for students to get the latest information during their studies here.

This app provides students access to the latest information on academics, student welfare, student finances, and facilities available at UMP.

It also provides online application features such as zakat, e-complaints and others.

UMP lecturers encouraged to share expertise through writing

KUANTAN, 29 July 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) lecturers are encouraged to share ideas, thoughts, suggestions and views based on their knowledge expertise through writings published in newspapers, magazines or popular portals.

In fact, it will be a communication platform to bring lecturers closer to agencies, industries and the general public.

UMPA offers programmes to encourage industry workers continue study

KUANTAN, 4 July 2021 - Underlying the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, UMP Advanced Education (UMP Advanced) is cultivating and expanding educational initiatives to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or diploma holders and also to workers through flexible learning.

UMP Advanced initiated the Lifelong Learning Programme (Program Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat. PSH) in 2008 and now has over 5,300 graduates in professional diploma, executive bachelor and executive master’s programmes.

UMP OKU Friendly Ecosystem Policy (DAMAI) is launched

KUANTAN, 3 August 2021 - The recently launched OKU Friendly Ecosystem Policy (DAMAI UMP) is a platform for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) to share the benefits of technological expertise and extend universal brotherhood in cultivating a friendly ecosystem for disabled people (OKU) community.

It proves UMP’s commitment to implementing inclusive education for the disabled in Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) in line with UMP’s slogan of ‘Technology for Society’.
