Dr. Norazaliza develops mathematical forecast model for COVID-19

KUANTAN, 21 December 2020 - The world is facing a global COVID-19 pandemic.

To effectively combat this pandemic, a mathematical model is needed so that the trajectory of the epidemic can be analysed and described.

Various types of mathematical models have been developed by researchers around the world to predict the dynamics of COVID-19.

FSTI recognises excellent students

KUANTAN, 11 December 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic has not stopped the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) from celebrating 451 excellent students during the Dean’s Award and Student Excellence Ceremony 2020 that was held online via Google Meet recently.
The ceremony was officiated by the Senior Dean of the College of Computing and Applied Sciences, Professor Ts. Dr. Ruzaini Abdullah Arshah.

UMP products win Malaysia Commercialisation Year 2020 (MCY 2020) Award

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 December 2020 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) continues to record success in commercialisation, with two products developed by UMP receiving the Malaysia Commercialisation Year 2020 (MCY 2020) awards. 

This was announced in conjunction with the MCY Summit 2020 organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) that was held online today. 

Ahmad Haidir big talent in reciting poetry

PEKAN, 9 December 2020 - Keen interest in poetry recitation prompted Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) student, Ahmad Haidir Muhamad, 23, to participate and represent the university in the IPT 2020 Poetry Recitation Competition organised by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).
Luck was on his side when he was selected among the top ten participants out of 89 participants announced recently. 

UMP establishes Institute of Civilisation and Strategic Studies

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 December 2020 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has established the Institute of Civilisation and Strategic Studies (ITKAS) which will serve as a strategic research centre to support the development agenda and optimise the potential in various aspects, especially in Pahang.

For this purpose, a series of discussions have begun, and the university will develop the institute’s strategic plan soon.

A sovereign nation certainly has a great history.
