Conducive environment and completing assignments among the factors to celebrate Hari Raya on campus

PEKAN, 6 May 2021 - The conducive environment on campus and busyness of completing assignments approaching next month’s exams has made some Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students to stay and celebrate Aidilfitri on campus.
A student from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering (FTKPM), Saiyidatul Marsyitah Aisyah Suhaime from Melaka said, this short break will be fully used for revision.

Ts. Dr. Khairil Azman produces NanoPearm to increase bitumen capacity for road pavement

GAMBANG, 6 May 2021 - A Kuching-born lecturer, Ts. Dr. Khairil Azman Masri, 33, has produced Nanopearm - Nanosilica Modified Asphalt Binder, which is a product based on nanomaterials and bitumen to increase the capacity and durability of bitumen.

According to the lecturer from the College of Engineering (KKEJ), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), silica nanoparticles in the size of 10 to 15 nanometers are used as a mixture in bitumen.

Volunteers work together to clean river

KUANTAN, 27 March 2021 - Recognising the importance of river sustainability, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and the Pahang State Department of Environment (DOE) have held various efforts to rehabilitate and maintain river cleanliness.

Recently, 25 UMP staff led by the Head of Programme for the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Energy and Environment), Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology (FTKA), Dr. Nadzirah Mohd Mokhtar, participated in the National River Trail Programme in conjunction with World Water Day 2021.

UMP, Malaysian Cocoa Board collaboration strengthens efforts on Malaysian cocoa industry development

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 April 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and the Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) will conduct research on producing cocoa extract, developing healthcare products based on cocoa extract and developing e-Nose sensor technology that uses artificial intelligence system to improve cocoa bean quality inspection.

This collaboration enables both parties to conduct research and develop products involving sharing expertise, research resources, and technology.
