PEKAN, 16 October 2025 – Realising the challenges faced by students and visitors in locating lecture rooms and laboratories at the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), FK student, Ahmad Haziq Mohamad, 21, introduced an innovation named UMPSA Smart Navi: Real-Time Digital Navigation System for Campus Wayfinding.

The research idea began when he found that many students, including new students, students from other faculties, lecturers, and external visitors, faced difficulties locating rooms based on room codes such as BZ-01-100.

PEKAN, 25 November 2025 – Researchers of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) succeeded in producing Malaysia’s first ‘Paperbot’ through air humidity, which now has the potential to become a new energy source for powering future robots.

Through the strategic combination of graphite mapping techniques and origami folding on the device body, the UMPSA research team successfully developed a paper-based smart actuator film called ‘Paperbot’ that is capable of rolling on its own when exposed to continuous humidity.

PEKAN, 24 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has begun activating the RES-Q Complaint System for staff and students affected by any disaster such as floods, landslides, or any other disaster-related needs to facilitate the delivery of aid channels under the coordination of the UMPSA Disaster Action Committee.

DUBAI, 20 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) strengthens its position as a leading national institution in space technology through two strategic research collaborations with LatConnect 60 Sdn. Bhd (LatConnect 60) and ReOrbit BTS Sdn. Bhd. (ReOrbitBTS).

The collaboration with LatConnect 60 involves a research project titled ‘Hyperspectral Earth Observation Satellite for Pahang Aerospace City’, focusing on the development of satellite technology based on hyperspectral remote sensing.

PEKAN, 14 November 2025 – A total of 120 volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Tanah Makmur Berhad, SWCorp, and Alam Flora, successfully carried out the Plogging@Pantai Tanjung Gosong programme.

According to the Director of the UMPSA Sustainability Development Centre (SDC), Dr Suhaidah Hussain, this programme is the third in the series held in conjunction with Antarctica Day 2025.

GAMBANG, 27 November 2025 – Academic figure and recipient of the National Engineering Icon Award 2025, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Zaini Ujang, met the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) community today in the 100 Days World Lecture Tour Sharing Session held in conjunction with the UMPSA Academic Advising System Empowerment Workshop.
