Profesor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie dilantik semula sebagai Naib Canselor UMP

PEKAN, 1 November 2022 - Profesor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin dilantik semula sebagai Naib Canselor Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) berkuat kuasa mulai 1 November 2022.

Profesor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie berkelulusan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains Sosial dari Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) sebelum menyambung pengajian dalam bidang Perdagangan di University of Wollongong, Australia pada tahun 1992.

UMP receives RM63,650 research grant for Pahang State Pondok School Education System

KUANTAN, 12 October 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received a Research Grant for the Empowerment and Recognition Initiative of the Pahang State Pondok School Education System amounting to RM63,650 from the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP).

The handover was delivered by the Deputy of MUIP, YAM Tengku Panglima Raja Tengku Amir Naseer Ibrahim Shah to the Senior Director of the UMP Research and Innovation Department, Professor Dr. Mohd Hasbi Abdul Rahim, representing the UMP Vice-Chancellor.

200 SPM candidates benefit from Yayasan PETRONAS empower ECER Academic programme

MERSING, 13 October 2022 - The launch of the Yayasan Petronas empower ECER Academic Programme saw a total of 200 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates benefit from the opportunity to participate in the PETRONAS empower ECER Academic Programme conducted by UMP Advanced.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Menteri Besar Johor, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi held at Hotel Seri Malaysia Mersing.

UMP first time listed in world rating THE WUR 2023

PEKAN, 12 October 2022 - For the first time Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is ranked 801 to 1,000 for the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) rating announced today.

More proudly, UMP ranks eighth out of 22 Higher Education Institutions (IPTs) in Malaysia and is the best university in the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN).

PKU organises IFitER programme to tackle obesity

PEKAN, 22 September 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Health Centre (UMP) has recorded a total of 579 UMP staff categorised as having a risk of non-communicable diseases, i.e., abnormal lipid profile as well as level 1 and level 2 obesity through staff health screening tests (mobile clinic) conducted in 2020.

The Director of UMP Health Centre, Dr. Khairul Salleh Abdul Basit said this should not be taken lightly by all staff to ensure that work productivity is not compromised.
