UMP, FeMAC outline a collaboration to strengthen TVET programmes

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 November 2021 - The strategic collaboration between Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and the Federation of JPK Accredited Centers Malaysia (FeMAC) will provide opportunities for graduates of the Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM), Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM), and Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) to continue their studies in the Bachelor of Technology programme offered by this university.

UMP researchers develop SCAV self-driving bus for campus residents

With various expertise in the engineering and technology field, researchers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) are currently developing a smart bus with a computer system to move on its own without a driver (self-driving).

The Smart Campus Autonomous Vehicle (SCAV) is equipped with various sensors and smart technology computers to move from one destination to another by itself through the control of a computer system equipped with on-campus traffic information.

UMP suspends academic operations a week starting 22 December 2021

PEKAN, 22 December 2021 - Considering the current situation and after evaluating every aspect, the university management has agreed to suspend all academic activities at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) effective from 22 to 28 December 2021.

This postponement includes the implementation of teaching and learning (T&L), laboratory activities, quizzes, assessments, assignment submission, and other academic activities.

UMP extends helping hands for flood victims

PEKAN, 20 December 2021 - Following the heavy rains in the state, several locations have been hit by floods.

UMP has opened an operation room to coordinate assistance for its residents on both campuses over the past three days.

Professor Dato’ Ts. Yuserrie Zainuddin, who performs the function of the UMP Vice-Chancellor, said that the UMP disaster operation room in Gambang was operating with limited capacity on the first day.

UMP towards Smart Campus

PUTRAJAYA, 12 December 2021 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang aims to become a smart campus and the implementation of this initiative is in line with government’s aspiration in strengthening digital government agenda in this country. 

In line with the needs of Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, university needs to implement digital transformation towards a smart campus to remain relevant to the current needs and expectations of stakeholders.
