Personal approach to communities of Natives help boosts pursuit of tertiary education

In line with the vision to promote “School for the Community”  and “University for the Society”, the Ministry of Education (MoE) is committed to undertake a more personal approach to propagate information about opportunities in pursuit of higher and tertiary education to the Malaysian Natives, based on the former’s three core values and embedded culture – love, happiness and mutual respect.

UMP campus community got together to perform the ‘korban’

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) campus community organised the religious ritual of sacrifice or ‘korban’ of six cows in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration organised by the Islamic Centre and Human Development (PIMPIN) on August 14, 2019.

MTUN Academic Colloquium on Higher Value TVET

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recently organised the Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) Academic Colloquium as part of the efforts to further enrich the eco-system of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).
It was also in line with the Higher TVET agenda currently being mobilised in the country.

“Good Governance & Integrity in the Digital Industrial Revolution Era”

In the efforts to enhance knowledge and boost the effectiveness of good governance and integrity in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0), the Faculty of Industry Management’s (FIM) Governance & Integrity Centre (FGIC) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) recently collaborated with the State of Pahang Foundation (YP) to organize the FGIC 2019 annual conference at the Main Hall of YP Complex in Tanjung Lumpur, Kuantan.

Fun Merdeka walk while flying the Jalur Gemilang

More than 100 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) staff took part in the Fun Walk: 1,000 Merdeka Steps that was held at UMP Pekan Campus on August 15, 2019.

They started the walk from the Student Activity Centre (PAP) and ended at the Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery Building.

UMP Board Member, Professor Dato’ Dr. Rosli Mohd Yunus flagged off the participants and UMP Vice-Chancellor Professor Ir. Dr. Wan Azhar Wan Yusoff received them.
