UMP Campus Pantry – free food hub for students

In line with the aspiration of Domestic Trade and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNHEP) in implementing the Food Bank Malaysia programme in public universities, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) raised to the occasion by having its own UMP Campus Pantry, offering food and other basic necessities to students.
The programme was established on April 16, 2019.

Stiff competition for 52 teams vying to be the best in the game of handball organised by UMP

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) organised its Fourth UMP Handball East Coast Championship that reflected its forte in coordinating the tournament held since 2016.
This year’s game was organised by UMP Handball Club and UMP Sports Centre with the support of Department of Student Affairs and Alumni (JHEPA). It was held on April 14, 2019.

MyCafé – UMP community provides free food for students

Nine food operators around Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) campus took part in the MyGift Initiative through the UMP MyCafé-Community programme that provided free food to students facing financial difficulties and the needy ones.

‘Gotong Royong’ by UMP students to clean up Batu Hitam beach

A total of 40 volunteers comprising Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students from the Siswa Brigade Section 19G took part in a programme called, ‘Stay Clean With UMP’ which involved cleaning up the popular beach of Batu Hitam in Beserah here on March 30, 2019.
The programme, aimed at highlighting the importance of protecting the environment, was jointly organised by the Centre of Co-Curriculum, Department of Student Affairs and Kuantan Municipal Council. 

Closer ties between Malaysia-Bosnia following MoU signed by UMP and MBTCA

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia Bosnia Trade Cooperation Association (MBTCA) that would pave the way for collaborations in the fields of engineering and technology with universities in Bosnia.

The MoU was signed on April 5, 2019, involving programmes such as Bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering, mechatronic, civil engineering, manufacturing, computer, electrical, chemical and science as well as possible joint research works.

PIMPIN organised a workshop on Al-Quran reading using sign language and braille

Concerned over the plight of people with disabilities (OKU), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)’s Islamic Centre and Human Development (PIMPIN) organised a special workshop for the public including for the disabled especially those with hearing and sight impairment on March 26, 2019.
The participants learned about Al-Quran reading in sign language and braille in the workshop which was organised in conjunction with the Mahabbah Carnival 9.0.
