National Science Week Carnival 2023 at Pahang State Level supports efforts to cultivate Science, Technology, and Innovation

PEKAN, 11 November 2023 - The National Science Week Carnival 2023 at the Pahang State Level, co-organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), the Office of the State Secretary of Pahang, and Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), drew over 4,000 visitors from the local community, comprising school students, higher education students, and the public.

PEKAN, 2 November 2023 – The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Dato' Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, made an official visit for the first time to the university since his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective November 1, 2023. 

His arrival was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, along with the university's top management and deans at the Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery Building in Pekan.

41 UMPSA students receive Excellence Awards from the Chinese Ambassador

GAMBANG, 1 November 2023 - A total of 41 students from the Dual Degree Programme at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Beijing Jiatong University (BJTU) and Tianjin University (TJU), received excellence awards from the Chinese Ambassador today.

Those selected include students enrolled in the UMPSA dual degree programme with BJTU, TJU, the UMPSA Foundation programme, and students participating in mobility programmes in China.

UMPSA raises funds to aid Palestinian students

PEKAN, 17 November 2023 – The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, presented a donation of RM15,000 to Yasin Y. Albarqouni. 

Yasin is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology (FTKKP) and is originally from Palestine. This contribution reflects a compassionate gesture towards the student's circumstances.

UMPSA launches ASEAN Exploration Expedition Programme

PEKAN, 27 October 2023 – The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the UMP Foundation, presented the UMPSA flag and plaque to three Project Managers of the ASEAN Exploration Expedition Programme at the Banquet Hall, UMPSA Pekan.

The programme, set to embark on its mission from November 11 to 17, 2023, by the UMP Foundation Squad, will be joined by 42 staff, students, and UMPSA alumni.

PEKAN, 2 November 2023 – Nearly 50 lecturers and educators from across the country participated in the 2023 Malaysia Confucius Institute Conference and International Chinese Teachers Sharing Forum organized by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) at the Banquet Hall of UMPSA Pekan.

This conference served as a platform for scholars to share expertise among educators, exchanging experiences and Mandarin language education.

Dr. Mohd Azraai helps farmers improve accuracy in watering and plant growth systems

PEKAN, 20 November 2023 – Researcher and lecturer of the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was determined to study the cause of his failure to produce quality crops and consistent results by creating Agronetics or Automated Internet of Things (IoT) Fertigation System which is used to improve accuracy in watering and crop growth systems.

This research was conducted at iMAMS Laboratory, FTKPM.

GAMBANG, 1 January 2024 – MD-SOLARES or known as Membrane Distillation Equipped with Solar Energy System is a solar-assisted membrane distillation system created to solve the problem of difficulty in obtaining clean water supply in island and inland areas.

This product can also be used for wastewater treatment in industries such as rubber mills, palm oil mills, textile mills, food mills, and others.

KUANTAN, 9 November 2023 - A total of 150 women took part in the 2023 Professional Women Seminar at the Grand Darul Makmur Hotel, with the goal of enhancing understanding and knowledge regarding the roles of women in maintaining harmony, sustainability in families, and the community.

The one-day programme featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Aznita Iryany Mohd Noor, a Public Health Medical Specialist from the Pahang State Health Department (JKNP), who delivered a talk on 'Women and the Risk of Cancer'.
