SHAH ALAM, 17 October 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has been appointed as the National Sports Industry Centre of Excellence.
Four universities were selected as National Sports Industry Centres of Excellence, each with different core focuses, namely Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, UPSI (Governance Core), Universiti Teknologi MARA, UiTM (Sports Entrepreneurship Core), Universiti Sains Malaysia, USM (Sustainable Development Agenda Core), and UMPSA (Sports Innovation and Technology Core).

Dr. Muhammad Aizzat Zakaria from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), successfully received a Long-Term Research Grant Scheme (LRGS) from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) amounting to RM1.4 million.

PEKAN, 4 October 2025 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received two Changan EADO 460 electric vehicles from Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd., which will be used for research and teaching purposes in the field of EV technology.
The ceremony witnessed the Chairman of the UMPSA Board of Directors, Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar, who is also the Chairman of Yayasan UMPSA, receiving a replica car key from the Managing Director of Fieldman EV Sdn. Bhd., Razmi Shah Othman.

PEKAN, 8 October 2025 - A total of 25 lecturers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) were listed among the world’s top 2% scientists under the Single Year Achievement category, with 15 of them also listed under the Career-Long Achievement category.
For the Single Year Achievement list, UMPSA ranks among the top ten universities in Malaysia, with 25 lecturers making up the highest number of top 2% scientists.

The programme, organised by the UMPSA Students’ Representative Council (MPP) in collaboration with the A.D.A.B Academy and the Student Affairs and Alumni Department (JHEPA), was held in conjunction with the 20th UMPSA Convocation Expo.

PEKAN, 6 October 2025 – Two researchers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Dr. Wan Muhammad Noor Sarbani Mat Daud from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), and Ts. Dr. Muhammad Ikram Rashid from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE) and Automotive Engineering Centre (AEC), successfully developed an innovation named EVcas Lamp, an electric vehicle (EV) charging system integrated directly into streetlight poles.

PEKAN, 14 October 2025 – The International Student Mentor Programme, in which each new student is paired with a local student or an experienced international student as a mentoring partner, received praise from international students who recently registered.
An international student, Zakaria Hassan Adow from Kenya, pursuing his studies at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), said that this initiative would help new students adapt more quickly and easily to the university environment.

PEKAN, 16 October 2025 – Realising the challenges faced by students and visitors in locating lecture rooms and laboratories at the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), FK student, Ahmad Haziq Mohamad, 21, introduced an innovation named UMPSA Smart Navi: Real-Time Digital Navigation System for Campus Wayfinding.
The research idea began when he found that many students, including new students, students from other faculties, lecturers, and external visitors, faced difficulties locating rooms based on room codes such as BZ-01-100.
