Father’s strength inspires Wan Nur Ainna, receives Yayasan Pahang Excellence Prize

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 – The loss of her beloved mother, Maisarah Hilal Mohd Alwi, in the final year of diploma study due to stroke, made Wan Nur Ainna Amirah Wan Zulkifli bounced back to pursue her bachelor’s degree.

She said her father’s enthusiasm, Wan Zulkifli Wan Abdullah, 57, who worked alone inspired her to obtain Dean’s List Award every semester.

“This award is also a gift for my late mother,” she said.

Son of machinery guard, Cho Bo Wen receives Malakoff Excellence Award

PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 – The recipient of the Malakoff Corporation Bhd. Excellence Award, Cho Bo Wen aspires to become a successful engineer in the future.

The graduand of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Honours (Electronics), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) successfully graduated with a CGPA of 3.91.

He said he hoped to help the public and utilise all the knowledge learned at UMP.

Ng Wei Sheng named recipient of Heitech Excellence Award

PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 – “Do not day-dreaming and live in the present moment. Do not get stuck in the past and fixated on the future”, such are the words held dearly by Ng Wei Sheng, 24 graduate of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), who received the Heitech Excellence Award at the recent UMP 17th Convocation Ceremony.

The graduate of the Faculty of Computing was joyed because his tireless efforts paid off when he obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.92 during his four-year study at UMP.

Anis Syazwani Recipient of Puspanita Community Care Award

PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 – B.Eng (Hons.) Civil Engineering graduand, Nur Anis Syazwani, 24, received the Puspanita Community Care Award at the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) 17th Convocation Ceremony at the UMP Sports Complex Hall.

She graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.83.

Initially, she was not interested and had to take up civil engineering, but she achieved the excellence award by earning the Dean’s List Award every semester seven times in a row.

Nur Harizah and Chew Yee Ping receive University Gold Award

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 – Two Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) graduands, Nur Harizah Mohd Nadzmi, 23 and Chew Yee Ping, 21 received the University Gold Award from the Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Abi Musa Asa’ari Mohemed Nor at the UMP 17th Convocation Ceremony held at the UMP Gambang Campus Sports Complex Hall.

Nur Harizah, a graduand of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Material Technology with Honours from the Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology (FSTI), obtained a CGPA of 3.83.
