ChM Dr. Nurlin produces SORAS to remove arsenic in contaminated water

PEKAN, 5 July 2022 – Water pollution especially from landfills often contains toxic and carcinogenic substances that are harmful to health in the long run.

Looking at this problem, a lecturer from the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), ChM Dr. Nurlin Abu Samah, 38, came out with a product capable of making an impact in removing arsenic in contaminated water.

A product named SORAS is an adsorbent used to remove arsenic in contaminated water.

Ts. Dr. Mohd Izham develops Track Me app with geofence to monitor children’s movement

PEKAN, 30 June 2022 – Cases of child loss worldwide and in Malaysia particularly are not new.

In fact, these disappearances often also end in murder or serious abuse.

A lecturer from the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Ts. Dr. Mohd Izham Mohd Jaya, 39 has developed a Track Me app with geofence as an added value that will help parents monitor the movement of their children and logistical assets.

UMP recognised as hub for TVET automotive

SHAH ALAM, 17 June 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received the appointment of the TVET Collaboration Hub in the automotive sector through the Centre for Automotive Engineering UMP in conjunction with the 2022 National TVET Week Closing Ceremony as an effort to realise the current TVET agenda in the country.

The appointment was presented by the Deputy Chief Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Dato’ Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian to the UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin.
