KUANTAN, 17 March 2022 – Leadership needs to be cultivated in individuals in order to produce people who are confident, wise in planning and able to encourage others to do something to achieve the objectives set.

According to Nurul Maherah Md Mansor, 25, many platforms can be used to hone this leadership talent including obtaining it at the university through formal training.

Excited to celebrate independence, UMP contingent wins merdeka parade

PEKAN, 31 August 2022 – It was a proud moment when the contingent of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) comprising 32 staff was announced the winner of the Institute of Higher Education (IPT) category in the recent Pekan District 2022 National Day Parade competition.

The prize presentation ceremony was presented by the District Officer of Pekan, Dato’ Zaliza Zulkipli to the Registrar/Chief Operating Officer of UMP, Saiful Bahri Ahmad Bakarim.

Semarak Keluarga UMP celebrates festive merdeka

PAYA BESAR, 30 August 2022 – More than 600 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) were excited to celebrate the 65th National Day of Malaysia after two years of no celebrations held following the Movement Control Order (MCO).

The sacred chant of ‘Merdeka’ with patriotic spirit among the campus residents broke the silence at the UMP campus at exactly 12 midnight.

PUTRAJAYA, 2 September 2022 – Lecturer from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Dr. Roshahliza M. Ramli was selected for the final stage through the KALAM-ON-THE-GO project for the Virtual Immersive Learning and Blended Innovation category in the Special Award of the Minister of Higher Education: Curriculum Design and Innovative Delivery in 2022 (AKRI 2022). 

UMP MyPerahu app empowers fishermen’s socioeconomic and ecotourism activities

PEKAN, 7 September 2022 – A group of lecturers from the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has developed the MyPerahu mobile app as one of the measures to empower socioeconomic and ecotourism in the fishing community.

The Mobile Recreational Fisheries Application for Fishermen (MyPerahu) is currently being used by fishermen in Setiu as one of the pilot projects of the University for Society (KPT-U4S) programme by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT-U4S).
