Kuantan, 11 August – the opening ceremony of the 43rd Intervarsity Staff Sport (SUKUM) kicked off with a stunning performances. The ceremony took place at the University Sports Complex in UMP Gambang campus.
The procession of the flags of the 21 participating contingents accompanies by a musical performance followed next. Then came the parade of the contingents, athletes and officials from the participating universities.
Kuantan, 7 August – Universiti Malaysia Pahang aims to be in the top 10 standings in this upcoming 43rd SUKUM. UMP will be hosting this year edition of Kejohanan Sukan Staf Antara Universiti Malaysia.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) is celebrating its first Vice-Chancellor Quality Award (AKNC), the first departmental award since it was introduced in the year 2012 by the University Malaysia Pahang (UMP).
