Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia (MetMalaysia) telah menjangkakan fenomena Super El Niño akan mencapai puncaknya sekitar November 2026 sehingga Januari 2027 dengan kesan ketara dijangka mula dirasai di negara kita pada awal tahun 2027 pada penghujung musim Monsun Timur Laut.

UMPSA strengthens graduate readiness through GVI, structured internship and professional certification

PEKAN, 9 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its commitment to producing high-quality, competent graduates who are prepared to face the challenges of the working world through various strategic initiatives formulated under the UMPSA Strategic Plan 2026–2030 (UMPSA30).

This is reflected in UMPSA achieving a graduate employability (GE) rate of 97.2 per cent in 2025.

UMPSA researchers successfully identify Bunga Pekan species

PEKAN, 8 July 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Bioaromatic Research Centre, has successfully identified the Bunga Pekan species that inspired the name of the Royal Town of Pekan, as part of efforts to strengthen its role in preserving the nation’s heritage.

According to stories passed down by earlier generations, the town of Pekan derived its name from a type of flower known as Bunga Pekan, which once grew abundantly along the banks of the Pahang River.

Bhd., held at the Banquet Hall, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur.

UMPSA ranks 588th in QS World University Rankings 2027, best university in MTUN

PEKAN, 18 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its position as the best university among the Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) through its outstanding achievement in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

In the rankings announced today by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), UMPSA was ranked 588th in the world, improving from 609th last year.
