UMPSA drives ethical Artificial Intelligence Initiative

GAMBANG, 6 December 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to demonstrate a high commitment to leading the development of science and technology knowledge through the organisation of AI Week, themed ‘To Create Awareness for Responsible AI to the Students and Community’.

This initiative aims to disseminate knowledge and skills related to artificial intelligence (AI) to society, particularly in Pahang Darul Makmur.

12 UMPSA academic staff receive promotion letters

PEKAN, 17 December 2024 – A total of 12 staff members from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) today received promotion letters following the successful applications for promotions in academic positions.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), who is exercising the function of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr Aida Mustapha emphasised in her speech that promotions are not an entitlement but the result of merit and excellence.

HackathonX 2024: An innovation platform by PETAKOM UMPSA

PEKAN, 22 November 2024 – HackathonX 2024, organised by Persatuan Mahasiswa Teknologi Komputer (PETAKOM), concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impact on students and the tech community.

The event spanned several months and brought together approximately 120 teams and over 250 students from prestigious institutions, including Public Universities (IPTA), Private Universities (IPTS), polytechnics, and other colleges.

PEKAN, 17 December 2024 – The Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), organised the AI Creativity Competition 2024: Art in the Era of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) as a platform to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) technology to students and the younger generation.

UMPSA EKSA Sustainability Programme creates greener, cleaner, and more conducive work environment 

PEKAN, 19 October 2024 – In conjunction with the 19th Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Convocation Ceremony (MKK19) recently, the Conducive Public Sector Ecosystem (EKSA) Unit of the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), in collaboration with the Centre for Industry and Community Network (ICoN), organised the EKSA Sustainability Programme.

This initiative involved the planting of 19 trees on 19 October at the UMPSA Community Forest in Pekan as a symbolic gesture to celebrate MKK19.
