PEKAN, 6 August 2026 - 32 participants from 16 secondary schools across Pekan, among them Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Pekan, SMK Sultan Ahmad, SMK Nenasi, SMK Chini and SMK Paloh Hinai took to the stage at Pekan Public Library to compete in this year's storytelling competition.
98.8% graduan FIST UMPSA berjaya tembusi pasaran kerja
PEKAN, 10 Ogos 2026 – Pendekatan pendidikan berteraskan Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal dan Vokasional (TVET) dan hubungan erat dengan industri membuahkan hasil apabila 98.8 peratus graduan Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Industri (FIST), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) berjaya menembusi pasaran kerja.
PEKAN, 9 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its commitment to producing high-quality, competent graduates who are prepared to face the challenges of the working world through various strategic initiatives formulated under the UMPSA Strategic Plan 2026–2030 (UMPSA30).
This is reflected in UMPSA achieving a graduate employability (GE) rate of 97.2 per cent in 2025.
PEKAN, 8 July 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Bioaromatic Research Centre, has successfully identified the Bunga Pekan species that inspired the name of the Royal Town of Pekan, as part of efforts to strengthen its role in preserving the nation’s heritage.
According to stories passed down by earlier generations, the town of Pekan derived its name from a type of flower known as Bunga Pekan, which once grew abundantly along the banks of the Pahang River.
PEKAN, 18 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its position as the best university among the Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) through its outstanding achievement in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
In the rankings announced today by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), UMPSA was ranked 588th in the world, improving from 609th last year.
PEKAN, 21 May 2026 – Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Yusoh has been appointed the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), effective 20 May 2026.
