MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM, 4 August 2025 – Two students from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Aniq Zamzamy Sibron and from the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI), Fatimah Syazwina Maslan, participated in the International Summer School 2025 organised by the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), United Kingdom.

PEKAN, 25 August 2025 – The idea for the development of GebuAdopt, a web-based platform to strengthen the pet adoption process in Malaysia, was sparked by observations of the increasing number of stray animals in local communities.

The research was conducted by a group of students from the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), led by Norakilah Mohd Yunos, together with Muhammad Irfanuddin Shaharin and Azfar Irfan Asri, under the guidance of FK Consulting Fellow, Nurul Syafiqah Zaidi.

PEKAN, 18 August 2025 – The extraction of rare earth elements (REEs) from lanthanide concentrates in Malaysia generates radioactive waste known as Water Leach Purification (WLP). This waste contains thorium at levels of about 6.7 Bq/g—far exceeding the safe limit of 1 Bq/g.
