UMP and TDA seal MoU on seabed

TIOMAN, 10 October 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Tioman Development Authority (TDA) made history when for the first time held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony at the seabed, Pulau Tumok, Tioman, Pahang.

This collaboration will benefit both parties in developing the organisation, especially concerning research, development and community programmes in Tioman.

Wan Raizulhazmi lucky as Siswa Sulung UMP

KOTA BHARU, 9 October 2022 - A new student who will be checking in at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) on 11 October 2022, Wan Raizulhazmi Syukrin Wan Rizman Zailani, did not expect the call he received brought him good news when he was informed that he had received KPT-UMP Sulung Scholarship.

Siswa Sulung refers to the only child or first child in a B40 family who successfully pursues study in universities and is offered to pursue a diploma and bachelor’s degree programme and receives Sulung Scholarship under Yayasan UMP.

8 Felo Perdana UMP Protege appointed to serve with management

PEKAN, 5 October 2022 - A total of eight graduates of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) were selected in the Felo Perdana UMP Protege programme which will serve at UMP and be placed for six months to the university management including the Chairman of the UMP Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman.

PKU organises IFitER programme to tackle obesity

PEKAN, 22 September 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Health Centre (UMP) has recorded a total of 579 UMP staff categorised as having a risk of non-communicable diseases, i.e., abnormal lipid profile as well as level 1 and level 2 obesity through staff health screening tests (mobile clinic) conducted in 2020.

The Director of UMP Health Centre, Dr. Khairul Salleh Abdul Basit said this should not be taken lightly by all staff to ensure that work productivity is not compromised.

Floorsys wins gold medal in 16th KIK UA

KUANTAN, 13 November 2022 - Identical twins and siblings stole the spotlight at the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Vice-Chancellor’s Mandate Ceremony in conjunction with Student Induction Week 2022 and the New Student Pledge Reading Ceremony.

UMP collaboration with YIM utilises STIE Design Space for Bera community

BERA, 15 October 2022 - Malaysia Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob inaugurated Keluarga Malaysia STIE Design Space in Felda Bukit Puchong, Bera which is a digital innovation corner equipped with computer laboratories, digital studios, drone exhibition and design corners to cultivate creativity and innovation among rural communities, especially school students and the new generation.

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) through Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM).
