UMP engagement session with Pahang media practitioners and agency officials

KUANTAN, 21 April 2022 - An engagement session involving Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) with the media and agencies in the state provided an opportunity to collaborate in disseminating information to the community.

The UMP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin was present with the university’s management in this programme to meet and build good relations between the university management and media practitioners and several agencies in the state.

PLPU meets UMP campus residents observe Ramadan

PEKAN, 13 April 2022 - A total of 1,400 packets of meals have been prepared for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students every day since 1 Ramadan.

In contrast to before, the iftar tradition in the tray on campus remains a memory following compliance with the SOP.

Coordinated under the Islamic and Human Development Centre (PIMPIN), UMP volunteers among the permanent staff joined hands to prepare for cooking according to the department’s daily turn.

TVET Outreach for Orang Asli spreads benefits of higher education

KUANTAN, 31 March 2022 - Over 300 Orang Asli of various ages attended the TVET Outreach Programme for Orang Asli@Lipis located in the Dewan Orang Ramai Pos Betau and Balai Raya Kampung Tementong Lipis.

This programme was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Department of Orang Asli Development Pahang (JAKOA) and Department of Polytechnic Education and Community Colleges (JPPKK).

Donation of school supplies for 103 UMP staff children

KUANTAN, 24 March 2022 – Receiving new school supplies encourages children to go to school after dealing with pandemic situations and Movement Control Orders (MCO) for the past two years.

Recently, a total of 103 UMP staff received donations of school supplies in conjunction with the Back To School programme organised by Yayasan UMP and the Registry Department held at both UMP Pekan and Gambang campuses.

UMP hosts MASUM Sports Tournament Phase 1

KUANTAN, 24 March 2022 - After two years of MASUM Sports Tournament being suspended, the MASUM Phase 1 sports carnival was held face-to-face involving the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) as the host.

This tournament managed to bring together nearly 1,000 athletes, contingent officers, technical personnel and volunteers in compliance with the SOPs set by the Sports Commissioner, National Security Council (MKN) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

Prihatin Business Registration Scheme (SPPP) benefits UMP students

KUANTAN, 16 March 2022 - The Prihatin Business Registration Scheme (SPPP) launched on 15 February 2021 is now being extended to B40 group entrepreneurs and students of Public/Private Institutions of Higher Learning (IPTA/S).

Those who wish to register a business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 will be exempted from registration fees and business information.

Muhammad Arif wins WorldSkills Malaysia Youth represents country in Digital Construction

PAYA BESAR, 18 November 2022 - Alumnus of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Muhammad Arif Irfan A’ali Zaini, who has just completed his Diploma of Civil Engineering, won the WorldSkills Malaysia Youth (WSMB) in Digital Construction organised by the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources.

With the victory, Muhammad Arif brought home RM2,500 in cash, medal and certificate, qualifying him to represent Malaysia at the world level in 2024 in Lyon, France.
