UMP alumni urged to contribute ideas

The alumni of  Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) are urged to continue to contribute cultural ideas in the university for it will help the current Secretariat of Culture and Arts UMP maintain the heritage on campus. The presence of 23 alumni from Alumni Chapter (Culture) was the result of the initiative taken by the Centre for Sports and Culture UMP via the first organisation of a programme Sepetang Bersama Alumni (Kebudayaan) UMP at the Istana Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 21 December 2019. 

Mohamed Al-Fateh clinches Tokoh Siswa UMP 2019 title

Mohamed Al-Fateh Ab Razak, 22, was conferred the Tokoh Siswa UMP 2019 title for winning Leadership Award and Public Speaking Award at the Award Ceremony for Co-Curriculum & Student Recognition 2019 at Vistana Hotel Kuantan on 19 December 2019. Muar-born Mohamed Al-Fateh, who is pursuing the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) course, was announced as the winner for his excellence display as the Chairman of Communication and Corporate Department under the Student Representative Council 2018/2019. 

“Overcoming Setback”

Changing of supervisor at the very last minute was never a stumbling block for Dr. Mohamad Rusydi Mohamad Yasin. He had it all under control and managed to finishes his studies on time.
 
According to him, UMP has given him ample time and space, therefore he feels the need to repay the trust university has given him.

“With that, I’ve tried my best and went extra mile to complete this study.
 
“At that time my biggest concern was, whether I can finish my studies on time or not. 

Nation Building in Malaysia

Nationalism is a key foundation in developing nation-building.

By taking into account of one factor that has always been used to categorise a country and its people, which is the language, it is not only seen as an identity of the nation but also a force that can unite the people.

Language also denotes the peoples’ identification to the country, their acceptance of the country’s interests and aspirations.

Formation of New MPP Leadership Synergy

The newly elected Students’ Representative Council (MPP) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will hopefully be able to use this opportunity as a platform to become a leader of calibre and progress forward.

The MPP has a role and responsibility in promoting the enrichment of a culture of happiness, contentment, respect, and humanity through various programmes and activities for UMP to stay harmonious and exuberant with a conducive campus environment towards studies and unity.

UMP, Etiqa help 200 asnaf children receive school necessities

A total of 200 primary school students from 11 schools around Pekan involving children from low-income families (B40) were delighted to receive new clothes and school necessities during the Back to School 2019 programme organised by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in cooperation with Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad and UMP Foundation in Pekan on 19 November 2019.
