The New Norm: UMP Staff’s 3 Working Procedures during CMCO

Pekan, 27 May 2020 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) campus recovers its’ former liveliness after almost two months being left due to the Restriction Movement Order (RMO) in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Some UMP staff can be seen going to work in stages according to the procedures that have been decided. 

UMP staff can be seen entering the premise as early as 7.30 a.m and undergo the screening process at the guardhouse. 

Online PdP new normal for UMP students

Pekan, 1 June 2020 - Students at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) started their virtual classes in line with the new normal in Online Teaching and Learning (PdP-DT) implemented this 1 June.

Lecturers play an important role in ensuring that every student can follow the new norm in PdP-DT.

Chinese Bridge online contest for the first time

Kuantan, 30 May 2020 - For the first time the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Confucius Institute (CI UMP) hosted the UMP Level Chinese Bridge Competition online using Zoom this year following the COVID-19 Pandemic which hit many countries today.

The competition saw 24 UMP participants delivered their speeches in Mandarin.

The program was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rosli Hainin.

142 UMP LO’s makes it a mission to send students home

Kuantan, 20 May 2020 - The fact that staff members who check on students so that only healthy people are allowed to board buses and regularly check travel documents and regularly contact the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) raises questions as to who they are.

They are among the 142 Liaison Officers (LOs) appointed by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) staff of various grades and positions.

They have played a key role in the success of the recent student evacuation operations.

PPPH frontliners send students back to hometowns

Kuantan, 28 May 2020 - Coordinating over 100 trips of university and external buses to send students to respective hometowns from 30 April until 14 May 2020 was an invaluable experience for the task force and drivers at the Department of Property Management & Development (PPPH).

Working at nights in Ramadan did not deter the task force from carrying out the responsibility to ensure all the safety procedures during the Movement Control Order (MCO) were observed to guarantee the students arrive in their hometowns safely.

UMP staff resume working in the office in stages following CMCO

Pekan, 22 May 2020 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will resume its operation in stages at all Responsibility Centres (Pusat Tanggungjawab, PTJ) starting 27 May through three attendance procedures during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.

According to the Registrar cum the UMP Chief Operating Officer, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Darun, unhealthy staff are advised to self-quarantine and not allowed to come to the office. Still, they need to work from home (WFH).
