SMK Gudang Rasau student creates I-Bracealert to prevent dozing off in class, wins gold and Special Award at CITREX 2025

GAMBANG, 19 June 2025 – To address the issue of students frequently falling asleep during lessons and examinations, a group of young researchers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Gudang Rasau Kuantan, Husna Aqilah Mohd Zaidi, Nurkyreen Khairil Shuhaidi, and Iris Marissa Mazman, developed I-Bracealert, which won a gold medal and Special Award at the Creation, Innovation, Technology and Research Exposition (CITREX) 2025 held from 18 to 19 June 2025 at the Sports Complex Hall, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

UMPSA, Hebei University sign collaboration to offer Dual Degree in Data Science and Big Data Technology

KUANTAN, 24 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its international collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Hebei University, China, for the implementation of a dual degree programme in Big Data Technology.

The signing ceremony, held at Hotel Grand Darulmakmur, was officiated by UMPSA Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias and Secretary of the Party Committee of Hebei University, Professor Dr. Liu Bing.

PEKAN, 19 June 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has risen to the 609th position globally in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2026, recently announced.

This position maintains UMPSA’s standing as the number one best technical university among the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN).

Even more proudly, for the faculty citation indicator, UMPSA ranks second best in Malaysia.
