KUANTAN, 30 June 2025 – Nestled within the beautiful surroundings of the Pahang National Park lies a pressing challenge faced by kelulut honey entrepreneurs—the recurring threat of Sun Bear attacks.

This persistent problem has long troubled Ahmad Izzudin, the owner of Lior Farm, who has had to deal with the destruction of kelulut nests caused by wild animals each year.

PEKAN, 17 July 2025 – Concerns over environmental pollution caused by the use of non-environmentally friendly chemicals in the oil and gas industry became the starting point for the development of an eco-friendly formulation to replace the use of potassium chloride (KCl) in drilling operations.

This innovation was developed by a lecturer from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology and Processes (FTKKP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), ChM. Ts. Dr. Siti Qurratu’ Aini Mahat.

Collaboration UMPSA, UMK, and MIGHT forge strategic alliance to advance Malaysia’s Rare Earth Industry

CYBERJAYA, 16 July 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and the Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) have formalised a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing research, innovation, and commercialisation in the field of rare earth elements (REE).

The partnership was cemented through the changing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at MIGHT’s headquarters in Cyberjaya.

PEKAN, 14 July 2025 – In a bid to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fish monitoring, Dr. Mohd Azraai Mohd Razman, a lecturer from the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Mechatronics (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), has developed an AI-based automatic fish monitoring system called the Live Underwater Aquaculture System (LUNAS) — a breakthrough innovation poised to transform Malaysia’s aquaculture industry.

5 UMPSA senior lecturers promoted to Professor Grade VK7

GAMBANG, 19 June 2025 – Five senior lecturers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) have been officially promoted to the position of Professor, Special Grade C (VK7), during a session held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Chancellery Building, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

The letters of promotion was presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, in a session attended by Faculty Deans, the Chief Operating Officer cum Registrar of UMPSA, and officers from the Human Resource Management Division.

UMPSA expands global footprint through student mobility to Kazakhstan

GAMBANG, 30 May 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to advance its Internationalisation Agenda through the Non-Credit International Mobility (Outbound) Programme with the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), Kazakhstan.

A special farewell ceremony was held today at UMPSA to honour five students who will be participating physically in Kazakhstan, while another seven will join the same programme virtually.
