UMPSA Foundation and TERATAI visit disabled and indigenous communities

CAMERON HIGHLANDS, 27 July 2024 - Volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and the Pahang State Representatives' Wives Charitable Association (TERATAI) recently visited People with Disabilities (OKU) and the new generation of indigenous people at Pos Telanok, Cameron Highlands, as part of the ‘Kembara Prihatin’@Pos Telanok programme.

The visit was led by Yang di-Pertua TERATAI, Datin Sri Dato' Hajah Burhah Mohammed, along with TERATAI members and UMPSA volunteers in a nearby indigenous village.

The REACH-TVET 2024 programme sparks interest among school students

PEKAN, 28 July 2024 - A total of 116 fifth-form students from Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAH) Pekan recently participated in the Reinforcing, Empowering & Assisting Career Hunter (REACH-TVET) Programme for three days.

The closing ceremony was officiated by the Chairman of the Pahang Women's Policy and Action Plan, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur, representing Pahang State Assembly Member, Dato' Sabariah Saidan, at the Centre for Modern Languages Lecture Hall, UMPSA Pekan.

Bera chosen for the UMPSA TVET Promotional Tour

BERA, 28 July 2024 – The Bera District was the chosen destination for this edition of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) TVET Promotion Tour.

Aligning with UMPSA's slogan, 'Technology for Society', the university continues its commitment to community care through programmes like the UMPSA TVET Promotional Tour Programme.

A total of 50 UMPSA staff and students participated in the two-day programme.

UMPSA launches Edutourism to attract international students, announced on August 12, Alumni Day

PEKAN, 25 July 2024 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is launching an Educational Tourism Programme (Edutourism) with specially designed packages aimed at showcasing the diversity of culture, language, and the unique attributes of UMPSA, including the special flora and fauna of Pahang and the beauty of Malaysia.

In addition to fostering cooperation between countries, industries, and agencies, this programme aims to establish UMPSA as the main educational tourism hub in Pahang. 

UMPSA received a visit from Fort De Kock University, Indonesia

GAMBANG, 23 July 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently welcomed a delegation from Fort De Kock University, Indonesia, to its Gambang Campus.

The delegates, who arrived at 10.00 am, were warmly received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman. 

3 UMPSA staff awarded Honorary Ranks under APMM

GEBENG, 22 July 2024 – Three staff members from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) were recently honoured with honorary ranks under the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM).

The Honorary Officer Ceremony was officiated by Pahang State Maritime Director, Acting Maritime First Admiral Haji Mazlan Mat Rejab.

The Tiger Strike Exercise tested the ability and agility of PALAPES UMPSA Cadet Officers

LEPAR, 20 July 2024 - The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), who also serves as the Commander of PALAPES UMPSA, Captain (Honorary), Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yusserrie Zainuddin, was on hand to witness the thrilling final attack phase of the exercise for cadet officers. 

This phase showcased their courage and dexterity, complete with simulated explosions and gunfire.

Rahmah Prepaid Siswa Package benefits UMPSA students

PEKAN, 19 July 2024 - Students at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) are welcoming the Ministry of Communications' recent announcement of the Rahmah Prepaid Siswa Package. 

This package offers a price not exceeding RM30 with a minimum data start of 30GB and a validity period of 180 days.

The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), through a media statement on 17 July 2024, also expressed its support for this initiative.
