CYBERJAYA, 16 July 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and the Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) have formalised a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing research, innovation, and commercialisation in the field of rare earth elements (REE).
The partnership was cemented through the changing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at MIGHT’s headquarters in Cyberjaya.

GAMBANG, 19 June 2025 – Five senior lecturers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) have been officially promoted to the position of Professor, Special Grade C (VK7), during a session held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Chancellery Building, UMPSA Gambang Campus.
The letters of promotion was presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, in a session attended by Faculty Deans, the Chief Operating Officer cum Registrar of UMPSA, and officers from the Human Resource Management Division.

PEKAN, 14 July 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence with the promotion of five senior lecturers to the position of Associate Professor, Grade DS14, effective from 20 June 2025.
The official letter presentation ceremony was held at the University Board of Directors (LPU) Meeting Room, Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery, Pekan Campus.

PEKAN, 3 July 2025 – Concerned with the declining mental health among students, three students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Rangin, Kuantan, Putri Siti Nurshahira Balqis Shazriyana Noriman, Rabiatul Firzanah Rosman, and Aienin Suraya Shahril Abdul Hakim, have introduced an art therapy-based innovation titled Therapaint.

PEKAN, 10 July 2025 – A high-impact research initiative from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) bore fruit when a smart automation technology innovation based on the Internet of Things (IoT), known as the SELESAI Board, won a gold medal at ITEX 2025.
The innovation was created by a lecturer from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Dr Mohd Azraai Mohd Razman.

PEKAN, 17 July 2025 – Concerns over environmental pollution caused by the use of non-environmentally friendly chemicals in the oil and gas industry became the starting point for the development of an eco-friendly formulation to replace the use of potassium chloride (KCl) in drilling operations.
This innovation was developed by a lecturer from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology and Processes (FTKKP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), ChM. Ts. Dr. Siti Qurratu’ Aini Mahat.
