UMPSA strengthens close collaboration with Iwate University

PEKAN, 26 January 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its close collaboration in academics, research, and international mobility with Iwate University.

Recently, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr.Yatimah Alias, received a delegation from Iwate University led by the President of Iwate University, Professor Dr. Satoshi Ogawa, together with the Vice President (International Relations), Professor Dr. Yoko Matsuoka, as well as officers from the university’s International Office.

UMPSA receives visit from MOHE Deputy Secretary-General to review Pekan Campus Development Project

PEKAN, 26 January 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received a visit from the Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Hassan, and a MOHE delegation to review development projects at the UMPSA Pekan campus.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah Alias, who was present to welcome the delegation, the visit aimed to review development projects under the First Rolling Plan (RP1), Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMKe-13).

4 UMPSA subjects listed among world’s best in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026

PEKAN, 21 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its international standing as four fields of study have been listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026, as recently announced by Times Higher Education.

The four listed subjects are Business and Economics ranked 301–400, Physical Sciences ranked 501–600, Computer Science ranked 601–800, and Engineering ranked 601–800.

PM launches RPN 2026-2035 to elevate national education quality

PUTRAJAYA, 20 January 2026 – The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, launched the National Education Plan 2026–2035 (RPN) themed ‘Driving the Leap of National Education’, which encompasses the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035 and the Malaysia Higher Education Plan (RPTM) 2026–2035.
