2 UMPSA students appointed as MyNext TalentCorp Campus Ambassadors

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 February 2026 – Two students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continue to demonstrate excellence in leadership after being officially appointed as MyNext Campus Ambassadors under the TalentCorp Malaysia initiative, following their successful completion of the MyNext Campus Ambassador Bootcamp, held from 11 to 13 February 2026.

They are Ahmad Amirul Irfan bin Ahmad Saupi and Neellesh Ram Saravanan.

UMPSA introduces smart IoT aeration system, improves productivity and sustainability of community aquaculture

PEKAN, 7 April 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its role as a technology- and community-based university through the development of the Diffused Aeration System for Aquaculture, an internet of things (IoT)-based innovation capable of transforming the aquaculture sector, particularly shrimp farming in rural areas.

UMPSA Vice-Chancellor presents promotion letters to five university lecturers

PEKAN, 7 April 2026 – A total of five academic staff members of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received promotions in a presentation session held today.

The Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah Alias presented the promotion letter to the lecturer from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Professor Dr. Rizalman Mamat, who was promoted to the position of Professor, Special Grade B (VK6).

UMPSA, Volkswagen Pekan strengthen industry ties through German Dual-Degree Programme

PEKAN, 1 April 2026 — A faculty delegation team led by Dean of the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Profesor Ir. Ahmad Razlan Yusoff, paid an official visit to Volkswagen Pekan as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen industry-academia collaboration between the two institutions.

The visit, which took place from approximately 2:00 to 3:00 pm, was warmly received by Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Malaysia, Dr. Susanne Lehmann and Director of Volkswagen Pekan, Norhayati Othman. 

UMPSA Library transformation enhances access, creates new user experience

PEKAN, 9 April 2026 – The Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Library has introduced a new concept of library services that is more open and flexible, transforming the user experience towards a smoother and more technology-friendly learning environment.
  
This concept has been implemented in line with the use of new ultra high frequency (UHF)-based technology, which is capable of detecting library materials more widely and efficiently without the need for a physical gate structure.

7 UMPSA subjects ranked globally, Engineering and Technology dominates world’s top 451–500 band

PEKAN, 30 March 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its reputation on the international stage as seven specific subjects and one broad subject area have received global recognition in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, recently announced by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

As one of the leading technical universities in Malaysia, UMPSA recorded a significant achievement by being ranked in the broad area of Engineering and Technology in the 451–500 band globally.

UMPSA, IEM YES and Nextgreen join forces to make plogging programme at Pantai Lagenda a success

PEKAN, 4 April 2026 – A total of 50 participants took part in the Plogging Programme at Pantai Lagenda, Pekan, which was held in a spirit of volunteerism and awareness of the importance of environmental preservation.

This programme was jointly organised by the IEM Club, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), the UMPSA Eco Nexus Club, and the UMPSA Sustainability Development Centre, in collaboration with the IEM Young Engineers Section (IEM YES) and Nextgreen Sdn. Bhd.

2 UMPSA lecturers represent Malaysia at TVET 4.0 Programme in Singapore

PEKAN, 31 March 2026 – Two senior lecturers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) have brought pride to the nation after being selected to represent Malaysia at the Singapore–Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) Joint Training Programme titled ‘TVET 4.0: Digital Technology for Industry Integration’, which was recently held in Singapore.

UMPSA strengthens international collaboration with CQUniversity Australia in dual PhD and Master’s programmes

PEKAN, 27 March 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) formalised a strategic collaboration with Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), Australia, through the exchange and signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding and memorandum of agreement, which was recently held at Dewan Bankuet, Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery, UMPSA Pekan.

UMPSA introduces LibGO application, book borrowing now easier and faster

PEKAN, 3 April 2026 – In line with the wave of digitalisation, the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Library is moving forward by introducing a new book borrowing method through the LibGO mobile app.
This initiative not only strengthens the concept of self-service and a seamless user experience but also offers a smoother, faster, and more technology-friendly user experience to the campus community.
