PERAK, 3 May 2024 - The Jom Masuk U 2024 Programme (JMU2024) began a series of tours to ten zones throughout the country from 3 May to 9 June 2024 with the opening ceremony completed by the Minister of Higher Education, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perak Branch, Seri Iskandar Campus recently.

KUANTAN, 18 May 2024 - The Mercu Sanjung Award (MARS) Ceremony, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recognises students who have shown holistic and competent leadership in line with strategic initiatives to produce holistic graduates.

The ceremony saw a total of 28 awards which included three main components, namely awards to students, alumni and industry.

DAQING, CHINA, 21 April 2024 - The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin was invited to deliver a speech at the University President Roundtable Forum in conjunction with the China Conference (Heilongjiang) - Malaysia Higher Education Week 2024 which took place on 19 to 21 April 2024 at Northeast Petroleum University, Daqing recently.

He delivered a speech titled Fostering Innovation Through Educational Collaboration: Malaysia and China Partnership.

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 May 2024 - An estimated 100,000 Bumiputera Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) trainees are projected to secure jobs with salaries RM3,000 higher than the minimum wage.

The demand for skilled workers in Malaysia, particularly in Sabah, is rising, necessitating increased technical education and vocational training (TVET) to meet the needs of both foreign and domestic investors.

ASCHAFFENBURG, GERMANY, 22 May 2024 - The Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) Advanced TVET delegation, accompanied by the Ministry of Higher Education, continued their first-day work visit to Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (UAS). 

The delegation was warmly received by Mayor of Aschaffenburg, Jürgen Herzing, alongside President of UAS, Professor Dr. Eva-Maria Beck-Meuth, Vice-President for Academic and International Affairs, Professor Dr. Ivo Schäfer, and Chancellor of UAS, Dr. Heide Klug.

UMPSA recognised as No. 1 Technical University in Malaysia and 146th in the world

PEKAN, 14 May 2024 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was recognised as the 146th best university in the world under the age of 50 by the Times Higher Education (the) Young University Rankings 2024.

This achievement placed UMPSA in the 3rd position in Malaysia and in the first position among the Malaysian Technical Universities Network (MTUN).

THE Asia WUR evaluates universities based on research quality, research environment, teaching, industry engagement, and internationalization.

CITREX 2024 UMPSA celebrates innovative researchers

GAMBANG, 9 May 2024 - The 14th edition of the Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition (CITREX) 2024 of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) saw a total of 93 gold winners, 126 silver winners and 35 bronze winners involving 255 entries from the categories of staff, IPT students and school students.

A total of 10 categories and 30 special awards were contested this year.

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 May 2024 – A delegation from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Vietnam in Kuala Lumpur as part of a strategic initiative to expand educational cooperation with higher education institutions in Vietnam.

Led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman, the UMPSA delegation met with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Malaysia, H.E. Dinh Ngoc Linh.

GAMBANG, 9 May 2024 – A total of 16 international students from various countries participated in the inaugural Educational Tourism (Edu-Tourism) Programme introduced by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

This Edu-Tourism programme is one of the key performance indicators (KPIs) in the UMPSA25 Strategic Plan under Core 6A: Student Internationalization.

SUNGKAI, 28 April 2024 – A total of 35 members of the UMPSA Recreation Club (T-Rex) from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) celebrated Aidilfitri in a unique way by exploring the beauty of nature and engaging in 'White Water Rafting' activities in Sungai Sungkai, Perak Darul Ridzuan, on April 27-28.

In addition to celebrating Aidilfitri, T-Rex Club members seized this opportunity to challenge themselves with healthy recreational activities, further strengthening unity within their organization.
