Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman appointed as Chairman, Board of Directors UMP

Pekan, 26 October 2020 - Tan Sri Dato' Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman was appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) for three years effective from 19 October 2020 to 18 October 2023.

The appointment was made by the Minister of Higher Education, Dato' Dr. Noraini Ahmad in accordance with the provisions of Section 17 (1) (a) of the University Constitution.

The new norm of MINDS UMP is broadcast online

Pekan, 18 October 2020 - A total of 30 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students successfully implemented the Student Induction Week 2020 (MINDS '20) program which took place online from 14 to 18 October recently involving a total of 2,110 new students for the registration session 2020/2021.

Starting with work in August, this group of students began their work with the search for moderators and facilitators and began planning work in full swing in September.

Off-campus students receive food donation from YaPEIM and UMP

Pekan, 15 October 2020 - A total of 200 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students who live off-campus and cannot return to their hometowns received food donations in the Foodbank 2.0 programme organised by the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM).
The aid was handed over by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Professor Dato’ Ts. Yuserrie Zainuddin and Pahang YaPEIM Manager, Nor Khalilah Hanaim Abdul Hamid.

The Importance of MILD Combustion, Biogas and The Impact on The Global Warming

The energy demand is dramatically increasing due to the growth of the world's population and substantial economic development in Brazil, Russia, China, and India. The combustion of fossil fuel is projected to fulfil about 75% of this energy needs. Some of the significant challenges are to provide efficient energy and limit greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Combustion pollution will increase the earth's temperature, create unstable weather, increase ocean levels, and ice melting in the North and South Poles. 

UMP–MARA collaboration pioneers Halal Gelatin Project

Kuala Lumpur, 30 September 2020 - The country’s first halal gelatin project will begin in Pahang soon when Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received the remaining RM5 million via the collaboration project with the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) involving a total allocation of RM20 million which is disbursed in stages in the form of grants.
