Faculty of Computing researchers share expertise in recreational fisheries digital transformation projects

KUANTAN, 12 November 2020 - Four researchers from the Faculty of Computing (FK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) shared their expertise through the research grant project of the Ministry of Higher Education - University for Society (KPT-U4S), which will benefit the fishing community in Merang, Terengganu.

Also involved in this project are researchers from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).

Exploration Dive: Another Attraction in Scuba Diving

Scuba diving has gained attention and grown in popularity among Malaysians. Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country popular among travellers due to its incredible marine life. A few days ago, a trip was organised to conduct an exploration dive with D’Lagoon Dive Centre at Perhentian Island, Kuala Terengganu, led by Azharil Art, a well experienced diving instructor. 

Together towards campus digitization

The use of effective delivery systems and methods also needs to be expanded on both campuses in an effort to support university campus digitization initiatives.

Dr. Aiman invents laser brazing connection innovation

Pekan, 12 November 2020 - A researcher from the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Dr. Aiman Mohd Halil, 32 has carried out a research project to improve the quality of brazing joints and reduce the cost of fabrication by implementing material surface texturing technology using laser before the brazing process.

This Johor-born who received his doctorate degree at Osaka University, Japan, started conducting this study since 2017.
