Concerned for the current situation of Movement Control Order (MCO) and the forthcoming of Ramadan, UMP Foundation distributed assistance to the frontliners and the staff in need on 17 April 2020.
The donation in the form of essential food items is distributed in stages in both campuses for 200 recipients.
In less than a week, all families are certainly busy preparing to welcome Ramadan, especially the head of the family.
The Higher Education Minister, Dato’ Dr. Noraini Ahmad visited Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) on 10 April 2020 to survey the readiness of the university to face the Covid-19 outbreak.
Joining the visit was the Finance Deputy Minister II, Mohd Shahar Abdullah, who is also the Paya Besar Member of Parliament.
Concerned with the struggle faced by the frontliners and healthcare workers to combat the spread of Covid-19 virus, especially in Pahang State, UMP Holdings Sdn. Bhd (UMPH), a subsidiary of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), helps produced 1,000 face shields and donated 720 bottles of drinking water to the healthcare workers.
UMP Services Sdn. Bhd. produces the face shields while Imani Agro Industries Sdn. Bhd. donated the drinking water. Both companies are subsidiaries of UMP Holdings Sdn. Bhd.
