Cycling brings UMP associates together

Pekan, 16 September 2020 - A total of 100 staff and students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) joined the cycling programme ‘Kayuhan Santai UMP’ for 28 km in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration at UMP Pekan to strengthen the relationship and spread the love for the country.
 
The flag-off gimmick was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli. 

Ts. Dr. Norashikin produces safe Aureiz brand personal care and hygiene products

Kuantan, 21 September 2020 - A lecturer from the Faculty of Chemical & Process Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Ts. Dr. Norashikin Mohd Zain, who has more than ten years of research experience at the university, has successfully produced three personal care and hygiene products from safe ingredients, namely antimicrobial hand wash, antimicrobial body cleanser and antimicrobial space cleaning spray.

A Global Outreach by two Malaysians: Success Story Unveiled

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) worth RM350,000 from a total of RM3.2 million in 2016 by Associate Professor Ts. Ir. Dr. Kumaran Kadirgama and Associate Professor Ts. Ir. Dr. Wan Sharuzi Wan Harun. The grant is a collaboration with Qatar University, Hamad Medical Corporation, and Rutgers University. The achievement of the project shows that Universiti Malaysia Pahang can compete with other universities in the world. 

International Conference of Chemical Engineering & Industrial Biotechnology (ICCEIB 2020) goes virtual

The 5th International Conference of Chemical Engineering & Industrial Biotechnology (ICCEIB 2020) was successfully conducted virtually on 9-11 August 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. ICCEIB 2020 was organised by the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology in collaboration with the City University of Hong Kong, Chulalongkorn University, and Dalian University of Technology. 

UMP associates instil patriotism in their hearts

Pekan, 10 September 2020 – The Independence Day on 31 August is the most anticipated date for instilling patriotism among the people of this country with its melting pot of races and religions. 

Although the glorious day of 31 August has passed over a week ago and it has been six decades since our independence, the occasion continues to be celebrated modestly in various unique ways that reflect the Malaysian identity. Not to mention the upcoming Malaysia Day that will be celebrated on 16 September.
