UMP associates need to emulate leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW in management of organisation

PEKAN, 11 November 2022 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) associates are called to emulate the leadership and personality of Rasulullah SAW in the management of organisations and families.

A religious figure who is no stranger to the world of dakwah in Malaysia, Dato’ Badli Shah Alauddin called on in UMP level Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1444H/2022M recently to make the greatness and moral height of the Prophet as a guide in the context of organisational management and changing the nation.

10 participants completed Fibre Optic Course training successfully obtained jobs

PAYA BESAR, 15 December 2022 - A total of ten participants of the Fibre Optic Course Training Programme sponsored by the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) in collaboration with UMP Advanced Education (UMP Advanced) successfully completed their training and started work in the field of fibre optic in Temerloh and Bentong, Pahang.

UMP climbs to 103 in the world in 2022 GWUR UI rating

PEKAN, 12 December 2022 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is ranked 103 compared to 128 in 2021 in the 2022 UI Greenmetric World University Rankings (GWUR) rating.

The evaluation is based on assessing environmental sustainability efforts involving six main scopes, namely infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education which showed UMP achieved an overall mark of 8,200 compared to 7,650 in 2021.

UMP appreciates pensioners, encourages them to share expertise and skills

PEKAN, 16 December 2022 - The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yusserrie Zainuddin encouraged UMP retirees to use all the skills, expertise and experience gained while serving the university to continue contributing to the community.

He said this advantage could be an asset for them to stay active and contribute especially to the community through the activities of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) or other platforms that are suitable to continue to serve.

Casual Talk 100 years Cooperatives Movement with KSU KUSKOP

PEKAN, 7 December 2022 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) received a visit from the Secretary-General (KSU), Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), Dato’ Suriani Dato’ Ahmad in conjunction with the 100-Year Cooperatives Movement Casual Chat programme held at UMP Pekan.

The delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Chairman, Koperasi Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Zainuddin Mat Husin, Board Members and committee members of Koperasi UMP.

Dr. Mohd Rusllim Mohamed was appointed as the President of the Asean University Sports Council (AUSC) for the period 2023 to 2025 in the 5th AUSC General Assembly 2022 held at the Doubletree By Hilton Hotel in Kota Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
