UMPSA celebrates 94 Doctor of Philosophy graduates in meaningful Hooding Ceremony

KUANTAN, 7 November 2025 – A total of 94 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) graduates were celebrated in conjunction with the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Hooding Ceremony for PhD Graduands 2025 held at Swiss-Belhotel, Kuantan.

The ceremony also brought together 83 supervisors who served as the backbone behind the graduates’ success in completing their studies at the highest academic level.

UMPSA receives RM600,000 contribution from Tabung Haji for underprivileged students’ benefits

PEKAN, 3 November 2025 – A delegation from Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), led by the Eastern Region Director, Tuan Haji Khairoodin Ahmad, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, today.

Also present were the Pahang State Director of TH, Tuan Haji Rosdi Dollah; Head of TH Pahang Mobile Branch, Hajah Norazila Mohamad; and Head of Administration/TH Pahang, Mohamad Luqman Sahap.

UMPSA excels at 153rd best in Asia in QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026

PEKAN, 4 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to demonstrate its excellence in higher education, ranking among the top 200 universities in Asia, placing 153rd overall and 41st in Southeast Asia, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings: Asia 2026, announced today.

This achievement reflects UMPSA’s continuous commitment to strengthening academic excellence and international reputation, with an improvement from its 159th position last year.

UMPSA Campus Election proves students’ maturity in practising democracy

GAMBANG, 5 November 2025 – The democratic atmosphere on campus at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to thrive with enthusiasm as the Students’ Representative Council (MPP) Election for the 2025/2026 session was successfully held, recording a voter turnout of 63.36 per cent involving 8,547 students who fulfilled their responsibility as voters.

UMPSA establishes strategic collaboration with 6 industry partners in mineral development, mining, and sustainable technology

PUTRAJAYA, 4 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) established a collaboration with six industries focusing on Research and Development (R&D) and industrial grants related to mineral development, mining, and new sustainable technologies.

The programme was held in conjunction with the Festival of Ideas Putrajaya 2025 (FOI) at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today.

Centre for Modern Languages UMPSA to host TOP-Notch Exhibition

UMPSA and IMI strengthen collaboration to enhance global-standard automotive education and certification

UNITED KINGDOM, 28 October 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to advance its efforts in strengthening global collaboration networks by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), United Kingdom.

IMI is a professional automotive body with over 100 years of history, responsible for setting skill standards, professional accreditation, and workforce capacity development in the global automotive industry.
