UMPSA remains country’s No. 1 technical university

PEKAN, 9 October 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) remains the best technical university in the country, having held the No. 1 position among the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN) institutions for four consecutive years.

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, announced on 9 October 2025, listed UMPSA in the 601–800 range of the world’s best universities, also ranking it as the ninth-best university in Malaysia among both public and private institutions.

12 international students excited to join UMPSA, International Mentor Programme guides new students

PEKAN, 14 October 2025 – The International Student Mentor Programme, in which each new student is paired with a local student or an experienced international student as a mentoring partner, received praise from international students who recently registered.

An international student, Zakaria Hassan Adow from Kenya, pursuing his studies at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology (FTKEE), said that this initiative would help new students adapt more quickly and easily to the university environment.

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 October 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), as a strategic partner of the Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation (PERHEBAT), welcomes the announcement of the PERHEBAT Transformation Plan 2026–2035 launched by the Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, to strengthen its role as the Driver of National Heroes’ Economic Sustainability, in line with its responsibility to ensure the continuous well-being of future retirees and military veterans.
