UMPSA leads national sustainability, 20 lecturers recognised as ESG Professionals

PEKAN, 16 December 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) leads the national sustainability excellence model when it successfully created history as the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Malaysia to receive the international Eco-Campus Green Flag recognition.

The Green Flag recognition administered by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Denmark, serves as a global benchmark for environmental excellence in educational institutions.

Non-credit Academic Mobility to TJU, China: Chemical Engineering towards future sustainability

TIANJIN, 30 November 2025 – A total of nine students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) participated in a non-credit mobility programme to Tianjin University (TJU), China, under the collaboration of the Centre for Academic Collaboration and Mobility, UMPSA, from 24 to 30 November 2025.

The mobility programme titled ‘Tianjin University 2025 International Winter Camp on Chemical Engineering for A Sustainable Future’ was organised by the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology (SCET).

Non-credit Academic Mobility to SIT Tokyo empowers engineering, technology, and culture

TOKYO, 27 November 2025 – A total of 12 students from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology (FTKKP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), participated in a non-credit mobility programme to Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), Tokyo, Japan, under the collaboration of the Centre for Academic Collaboration and Mobility, UMPSA, from 23 to 27 November 2025.

UMPSA and CREaTE JKR forge strategic collaboration in enhancing energy efficiency and building sustainability

MELAKA, 16 December 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) forged a strategic collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Engineering and Technology, Public Works Department (CREaTE JKR) in innovative research and technical applications that contribute to the development of national infrastructure.

The ceremony witnessed the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dr Yatimah Alias, exchanging agreement documents with the Senior Director of CREaTE JKR, Ir. Dr Sherliza Zaini Sooria.

UMPSA students win first place in national-level FUTURESCAPES AI Storytelling Challenge

PENANG, 13 December 2025 – A total of three students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) once again brought honour to the university when they successfully won first place in the FUTURESCAPES: The AI Time Capsule Storytelling Challenge competition held in conjunction with the Closing Ceremony of the Higher Education English Language Carnival 2025 (HE ELCA 2025), which took place at Dewan Tunku Syed Putra, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
