UMPSA receives visit from MOHE Deputy Secretary-General to review Pekan Campus Development Project

PEKAN, 26 January 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received a visit from the Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Hassan, and a MOHE delegation to review development projects at the UMPSA Pekan campus.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah Alias, who was present to welcome the delegation, the visit aimed to review development projects under the First Rolling Plan (RP1), Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMKe-13).

BEIJING, 9 January 2026 – Lavnesh Nagenthara Poobathy, 25, did not expect to complete four and a half years of study in the Dual Degree Programme at two institutions, both locally and abroad, namely Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), China 

Having one degree alone is already a proud achievement, let alone two.

The opportunity to participate in this programme provided an experience that is difficult to describe in words.

4 UMPSA subjects listed among world’s best in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026

PEKAN, 21 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its international standing as four fields of study have been listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026, as recently announced by Times Higher Education.

The four listed subjects are Business and Economics ranked 301–400, Physical Sciences ranked 501–600, Computer Science ranked 601–800, and Engineering ranked 601–800.

PM launches RPN 2026-2035 to elevate national education quality

PUTRAJAYA, 20 January 2026 – The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, launched the National Education Plan 2026–2035 (RPN) themed ‘Driving the Leap of National Education’, which encompasses the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035 and the Malaysia Higher Education Plan (RPTM) 2026–2035.
