Dean’s List for 8 semesters, William Mah Wey Lian receives Royal Education Award (Pingat Jaya Cemerlang)

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - The hard work paid off for William Mah Wey Lian, a graduand of the Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with Honours that he obtained the Dean’s Award for eight semesters with CGPA 3.95 (First Class) and announced as the recipient of the Royal Education Award (Pingat Jaya Cemerlang) in Session 1 of the 17th Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Convocation Ceremony recently.

William, 24, is the second of three siblings and was born in Kuala Lumpur on 21 October 1998.

Once failed to go abroad, Nur Khairiyah recipient of Royal Education Award (Pingat Jaya Cemerlang) now works in Germany

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - The failure to continue study in Germany a long time ago has never discouraged Nur Khairiyah Hibatullah Md Rosley, 25 and has even given high motivation to continue to move forward and pursue dreams.

Nur Khairiyah is a graduand of a dual degree programme, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Automotive Engineering (collaboration programme with Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, HKA, Germany)

Father found strength to receive Posthumous Award for son

PAYA BESAR, 6 November 2022 - As other parents were happy to celebrate their children’s graduation, Ab Razak Ahmad, 67 and Norhana Hanim Abdullah, 65, stayed strong to receive the Posthumous Award for their son on the second day of the 17th Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Convocation Ceremony today.

Surprise for graduating son, Rahmat entertains guests

PAYA BESAR, 5 November 2022 - Famous rock singer of the 90s, Rahmad Tohak or Rahmad Mega surprised not only his son but also the guests when performing on stage in conjunction with the 17th Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Convocation Ceremony in the UMP Sports Complex Hall.

He, who sang a song called ‘Takdir dan Waktu’, also attracted parents’ attention at the first session today.

His son Suhazri Amrin, 25, a graduand of Master of Science, also accompanied his father on stage when performing.

KUANTAN, 17 March 2022 - Graduates with high competencies by mastering various languages, have self-confidence, can communicate well and have the ability to operate high-tech equipment have the advantage of gaining a place in the job market.

According to UMP Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Abi Musa Asa’ari Mohamed Nor, graduates must have leadership qualities in order to produce people who are confident, wise in planning and able to encourage others to do something to achieve the objectives set.
