FTKEE emerges as Champion of UMPSA Inter-Faculty Games (SukFAC) 2024

GAMBANG, 24 November 2024 – The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Technology Engineering (FTKEE), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), made history by clinching the overall championship title for the first time at the Inter-Faculty Games (SukFAC) 2024.

FTKEE secured victory with four gold medals in the Men’s Team Chess, Men’s Team Tenpin Bowling, Men’s Team Field Bowling, and Women’s Volleyball events.

UMPSA showcases research innovations and forges collaborations at the Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (FOI)

PUTRAJAYA, 29 November 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) participated in the inaugural Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (FOI), held from 27 to 29 November 2024 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

Organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in collaboration with the Putrajaya Corporation, the two-day festival provided a platform to share ideas, thoughts, research, and innovations with the public.

UMPSA launches University-Level Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Awareness Programme 2024

PEKAN, 22 November 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) launched the University-Level Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Awareness Programme for 2024 at the UMPSA Library Auditorium, Pekan.

The Opening Ceremony was officiated by Professor Datin Ts. Dr Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of the Centre for Industrial and Network Linkages (PJIM), representing the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr Aida Mustapha.

UMPSA receives courtesy visit from Proton, Geely, and AHTV Alliance delegation

PEKAN, 21 November 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently welcomed a courtesy visit from delegations representing Proton, Geely Holding Group, and the AHTV Alliance.

The event, held at the Banquet Hall, Tun Abdul Razak Chancellery, included an industry lecture session aimed at strengthening ties between higher education institutions and the automotive industry.

UMPSA wins at the third National Huawei Mobile Application Development Competition 2024

PEKAN, 20 November 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully hosted the Third National Huawei Mobile Application Development Competition 2024 in hybrid mode through an academic training collaboration programme with Huawei Service Co. Ltd. (Hong Kong). 

The competition, named the UMPSA X HUAWEI App Gallery Mobile App Competition 2024 (UXHMAC) and UMPSA Mobile Hackathon (Hackathon X), brought together talent from universities across Malaysia.

WORQ provides Start-Up Office space for the benefit of UMPSA staff

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November 2024 – Co-working spaces, or shared workspaces, are becoming increasingly popular and rapidly expanding as an alternative to conventional offices. 
These spaces differ from traditional offices by offering a more flexible work culture and diverse facilities.

The Innovation and Commercial Management Centre (ICC), Research and Innovation Department (JPI), in collaboration with UMPSA Advanced, now has office space at WORQ Sunway Putra Mall, operational since 1 June 2024.

21 groups compete in the UMPSA New Horizon Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) Convention

PEKAN, 15 November 2024 – A total of 21 Innovation and Creativity Groups (KIK) from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), comprising 180 staff members, competed in the Social Innovation and Service Delivery Innovation categories during the judging sessions held from 13 to 14 November 2024.

The Opening, Closing, and Award Ceremonies of the 2nd UMPSA New Horizon Innovation and Creativity Group (KIK) Convention 2024 were held today at the Multipurpose Hall (Dewan Serbaguna), UMPSA Pekan.

UMPSA Chemical and Waste Safety Management Seminar attracts over 70 Laboratory Assistants and Teachers in Pahang

KUANTAN, 9 November 2024 – The Chemical and Waste Safety Management Seminar, organised by the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology (FSTI) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), recently attracted over 70 participants, including laboratory assistants and teachers from various schools across Pahang, such as Kuantan, Temerloh, Kuala Lipis, Rompin, and other districts.

UMPSA and SOCSO launch Pahang State MyOKUCentre

PEKAN, 15 October 2024 – The Pahang State Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), in collaboration with the Disability Services Unit of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (OkUMPSA), successfully organised the launch ceremony of the Pahang State MyOKUCentre Project. 

The event was held at the Main Lecture Hall of the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), UMPSA.
