UMPSA and SOCSO launch Pahang State MyOKUCentre

PEKAN, 15 October 2024 – The Pahang State Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), in collaboration with the Disability Services Unit of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (OkUMPSA), successfully organised the launch ceremony of the Pahang State MyOKUCentre Project. 

The event was held at the Main Lecture Hall of the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), UMPSA. 

GAC audits FIM UMPSA Project Management Programme

GAMBANG, 22 November 2024 – The Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC) visited the Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), to conduct an audit for the Project Management programme as part of the accreditation renewal process from 20 to 22 November 2024.

The accreditation signifies that the Project Management programme is developed and implemented in compliance with the standards set by international professional bodies.

UMPSA hosts 6th East Coast Handball Championship & International Invitation (6UECC)

GAMBANG, 7 November 2024 – A total of 28 men's teams and 12 women's teams from across Malaysia and Southeast Asia participated in the 6th UMPSA East Coast Handball Championship & International Invitation (6UECC). The event was organised by the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Handball Club in collaboration with the UMPSA Sports Centre, UMPSA A.D.A.B Academy, and the Malaysian Handball Federation (MAHF). 

The tournament took place at the University Sports Complex, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

UMPSA students demonstrate democratic spirit in Student Representative Council Election

GAMBANG, 5 November 2024 – The voting process for the Student Representative Council Election for the 2024/2025 Session at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) concluded smoothly yesterday, with a voter turnout of 58.10 percent.

The election involved 7,193 students, marking an increase of 4.13 percent compared to 6,697 students last year. 

Voting took place at two locations: the UMPSA Sports Complex Hall at Gambang Campus and the Student Activity Centre at UMPSA Pekan Campus. 

HE ELCa English Language Carnival boosts graduates’ skills and employability

GAMBANG, 9 November 2024 – The Higher Education English Language Carnival (HE ELCa), organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and hosted by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), served as a significant platform to improve English language proficiency among students of Higher Education Institutions (IPTs) in Malaysia.

UMPSA organises Science Awareness Programme at SMATAF to enhance students’ interest and skills

PEKAN, 6 November 2024 – The Profesor Turun Padang Programme 2024, organised by the Centre for Industry and Community Network (ICoN) and the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology (FTKKP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully increased the awareness and interest of Sekolah Menengah Agama Tengku Ampuan Fatimah (SMATAF) students in science subjects.

The programme, held at Dewan Ibnu Sina, SMATAF, Pekan, was attended by 60 students from Forms One to Three.

UMPSA conducts campaign for Disposal of Quranic Manuscripts and Printed Quranic Text Materials

PEKAN, 25 November 2024 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully conducted the Campaign for the Disposal of Quranic Manuscripts and Printed Quranic Text Materials, held in conjunction with the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem Week (EKSA) recently.

The campaign achieved a proud milestone, with the total amount of collected printed Quranic text materials reaching 3,873 kilograms.

UMPSA drives ethical Artificial Intelligence Initiative

GAMBANG, 6 December 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to demonstrate a high commitment to leading the development of science and technology knowledge through the organisation of AI Week, themed ‘To Create Awareness for Responsible AI to the Students and Community’.

This initiative aims to disseminate knowledge and skills related to artificial intelligence (AI) to society, particularly in Pahang Darul Makmur.

From Technology to Tradition: Students’ learning in Taiwan opens their eyes to a wider world

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, 26 November 2024 – A total of 17 students and staff from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) recently participated in the International Mobility Programme in Taipei, Taiwan.

The six-day programme provided participants with the opportunity to explore educational, cultural, and volunteerism aspects, shaping them into individuals with a global vision.
