UMPSA strengthens educational ties with Kazakhstan

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is set to enhance its academic and research collaboration with Kazakhstan following a visit to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Malaysia. Led by UMPSA’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor  Dr. Yatimah Alias, the engagement marked a significant step in fostering stronger ties between the two nations in higher education.

PEKAN, 22 January 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to excel as four of its subjects have been listed among the world’s best in the recently announced Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subjects 2025.

Even more remarkable is that, for the first time, the Business and Economics subject has been ranked within the 251–300 category in the world.

UMPSA expands collaborative ties with 6 private schools in internationalisation of academic programmes

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has taken another step forward by establishing a strategic collaboration with six Chinese Private Secondary Schools through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance the university’s academic programmes.

The MoU was signed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Professor Dato’ Ir. Ts. Dr Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman.

PUTRAJAYA, 25 January 2025 – The Majlis Sanjungan Budi was held to honour the former Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, and the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli, in recognition of their dedicated service and significant contributions to the university.

KUANTAN, 25 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Cooperative Berhad (KOPUMPSA) proudly ranked among the recipients of the 350 Best Cooperatives in Malaysia Award recently.

The recognition was presented during the ANGKASA Pahang 1 (East) Appreciation Dinner, organised by the National Cooperative Movement of Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) in collaboration with the Malaysia Cooperative Commission (SKM) at Hotel Grand Darul Makmur, Kuantan.

GAMBANG, 18 January 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has increased patrols and campus security measures while advising all students to remain vigilant at the Student Residences (RP) and around the campus, particularly at night on both the Pekan and Gambang campuses.

According to UMPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Yatimah Alias, the university takes the safety and well-being of students on campus seriously.

SETIU, 18 January 2025 – A total of 60 residents attended the launching ceremony of the Ketum Ayam (Trichantera gigantea) Project, including 20 farmers who have registered to participate in the programme offered by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) in Kampung Ulu Kekabu, Setiu. 

Through the implementation of the Ketum Ayam Project, UMPSA continues to play a crucial role in strengthening the sustainable agriculture sector.

GAMBANG, 22 January 2025 – The Centre for Industry & Community Linkages (PJIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with the Automotive Excellence Centre (AEC), organised the PRIHATIN Programme through Motorcycle Servicing at the Student Services Complex Square, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

The programme was attended by 84 members of the local community, including factory workers, UMPSA Holdings staff, students, and UMPSA security personnel.
