Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Lee Chia Kuang wins 2 awards at PROMAC 2025

PUTRAJAYA, 10 December 2025 – Research developed by the Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies), Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Lee Chia Kuang once again received recognition when he won two main awards at the Project Management Conference (PROMAC 2025) organised by The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) at Everly Hotel, Putrajaya.

UMPSA receives YPASM Research Grant worth RM100,000

BANGI, 8 December 2025 – Senior Director of the Centre for Advanced Mobility & Aerospace, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Professor Dr Rizalman Mamat, was awarded a prestigious research grant, the Agency Fund Year 2025 amounting to RM100,000 from Yayasan Penyelidikan Antartika Sultan Mizan (YPASM).

UMPSA researchers discover synthetic graphite from palm biomass, new opportunity for high-growth high-value (HGHV) sector

PEKAN, 1 December 2025 – Researchers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) have successfully developed a method to produce synthetic graphite using oil palm fronds (OPF) and palm kernel shells (PKS), focusing on the conversion of biomass waste at lower temperatures without the use of hazardous chemicals.

This first-of-its-kind discovery in Malaysia is expected to boost the growth of the high-growth high-value (HGHV) industry and other high-impact strategic sectors.

GAMBANG, 1 December 2025 – The difficulty of training agility manually inspired the Director of the Sports Technology Innovation Centre (STIC), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Hasnun Arif Hassan, who is also the President of the Malaysia Sports Technology Association (MySTA), to produce the Intelligent Agility Training Device, an intelligent agility training device capable of enhancing athlete performance in a data-driven manner.
